Frequently Asked Questions

The app crashes or freezes during use

Close background apps to free up device memory and processing power. Ensure your device has enough available storage space. Restart your device to clear temporary cache files. If the issue persists, try reinstalling the app and restoring your data from a local backup file.

Cannot upload or load gallery images

Confirm that you have granted photo library permission to ErrorBook in your device Settings. Large or high-resolution images may fail to load properly. The app automatically compresses images locally; retry uploading after freeing up device memory if needed.

Will updating the app delete my local data?

Normal app updates will not delete your saved wrong questions, tags, notes, or review records. To prevent rare data loss exceptions, please manually back up your data before performing major app updates.

How do I migrate all data to a new iOS device?

Create a full local backup on your old device. Save the backup file, install ErrorBook on your new device, and import the backup file. All questions, categories, notes, and review progress will be fully restored.

Dark mode display is abnormal

Dark mode only changes the visual UI theme and does not affect any local stored data. Toggle your system dark mode setting again or restart the app to fix display errors and visual glitches.

Local backup file fails to restore

Verify your backup file is complete and undamaged. Do not interrupt the restore process while it is running. For best compatibility, use backup files generated from the latest version of ErrorBook to complete data restoration.
