Frequently Asked Questions

The app crashes or freezes while operating
Close background applications to free device memory. Confirm sufficient free storage space on your iPhone. Reboot your device to clear temporary cache. If problems persist, reinstall the application. Please note unsaved local records cannot be recovered without manual export.
Cannot export CSV files
Verify there are existing sales records before triggering export. Confirm your iPhone has available storage. Ensure you grant file‑system write access for the Files app. Try exporting again after restarting YardSale Calculator.
Will app updates erase my local transaction data?
Standard app updates will not remove your saved sales logs, categories or split‑history records. To avoid rare unexpected‑data‑loss scenarios, export your CSV records before installing major version updates.
Can I move my sales data to another iPhone?
Currently data migration is realized via CSV file export. Export your transaction CSV on the old device, transfer this file to your new iPhone. Note CSV is for backup and tax reference; direct one‑click CoreData full‑database migration is not supported in this release.
Dark‑mode rendering issues
Dark‑mode only adjusts interface appearance and never modifies your stored transaction data. Toggle system light/dark‑mode again or restart the app to resolve visual glitches.
What happens if I tap “Clear All Data”?
The clear‑all‑data button deletes all local sales records and split‑calculation history permanently after secondary confirmation. Please export CSV files beforehand if you want to preserve your sales information.
